The Maricopa County Jail houses both male and female inmates. There are multiple locations, with a total capacity of almost 9,000 inmates.

All visitation is by video through ViaPath. Remote visits cost $0.25 per minute, but can only be initiated by the inmate. Onsite visits can be done at the 4th Avenue Jail or the Lower Buckeye Jail and cost $7.95 for a 20-minute visit. Each inmate is allowed one free video visit per week, either remote or onsite.

Remote visits can be held daily between 7 am and 10 pm. Onsite visits can be done between 9 am and 4:30 pm.
